«1440» is an artist’s book about time, the mundane, and observation. At its core are frames of the same stretch of time, captured over two days. On the second day, I attempt to replicate the actions from the first, but shifting circumstances make an exact repetition impossible.
1440
«1440» is an artist’s book exploring time, everyday life, and observation. The title references the number of minutes in a day.
One minute—one frame
I filmed the same segment of time over two days, selecting one frame from each minute. On the second day, I attempted to replicate my actions, but circumstances kept changing.
Two Days Together
On the turns, footage from two days is juxtaposed against each other. This helps reveal similarities and differences and prompts reflection on what remains outside the frame.
