CORE. Biocomposite luminaire.

Pine nut shaped adjustable light made from a new biocomposite material based on cedar nut shells.

The composition of the material contains natural ingredients. The cedar nut husk is hypoallergenic, has a pleasant smell and acts as a coloured light filter. Agar-agar gives elasticity to the material. The resulting composition is dried on a floral grid.

The light source is Samsung LEDs (CRI 90, total luminous flux 600 lm), which provide uniform illumination and smooth dimming. The light is adjusted by touching a metal element.

Pine nuts are known as the 'gold' of Siberia — a symbol of longevity and vitality. The indigenous Siberians believed that the cedar was able to collect bright vital energy from outer space and then transfer it to humans.

CORE can be used for meditation, as a piece of interior art, a night light or a table lamp.
