Asperitas is the debut of well-known Russian architects Elizaveta Golubtsova and Marina Biryukova co-founders of BIGO Bureau and their friend designer Krill Tataurov.
The collection was created in 2024 and includes two consoles with stone or wood top, three pedestals of different dimensions and the round mirror made of wood with metal fittings. By the end of the year a coffee table will be added to this collection.
Elisaveta and Marina have been working together for more than twenty years. They design and decorate interiors often using furniture by their own design. Asperitas is the first objects they put into production for no customer. The materials used: metal, wood and stone.
Asperitas is the latin word meaning rough or scabrous surface. That’s how the metal parts of the furniture look like. The texture is the result of difficult multistage secret technic of metal processing. The objects are of simple even brutalist shapes to draw more attention to metal details.
The Asperitas objects are made by hands and will fit both modern or classic interiors. The size of the console is 1550×450×800 mm, the pedestal 250×250×800 mm, mirror diameter 600 mm with hanger of 1000 mm.
