«To Live and To Be» is a composition-reflection on the dialogue between statics and dynamics, state and action, solidity and plasticity. In our creative search we strived to reach the very essence, on the one hand — wood as a material, on the other — the Russian language and its most famous verbs — «to live» and «to be».
«To Live» are two sculptures made of ash wood, which are responsible for dynamics and action. «To Be» — a round panel made of poplar, a conceptual point, a maximum concentration of state — personifies the verb «to be».
Placed together in the interior, they are positioned not as decor, but as active objects forming an energetic and aesthetic space.
