Belka is an innovative robot equipped with computer vision, capable of autonomously navigating the International Space Station (ISS) and performing tasks in zero gravity.

Its name pays homage to the legendary space dogs, Belka and Strelka, who paved the way for human space exploration.

Thanks to its array of sensors, Belka can assist astronauts with a variety of tasks — from monitoring the station’s condition and conducting experiments to inspecting equipment.

The robot’s zero-gravity mobility is powered by two air containers, two impellers, and twelve airlocks for precise control.
Additionally, its single-link manipulator arm, depth camera, and computer vision system enable it to dock securely to handrails inside the Nauka module.
To support Belka’s integration into the scientific community — including participation in exhibitions and conferences — as well as to promote science outreach, a comprehensive branding effort was developed for the robot.
