SPAWN is a company that grows new products from mushrooms and waste.
The production cycle consists of grinding waste that no one recycles — for example, disposable tableware with plastic, even dirty ones.

After grinding, the waste is filled with special mushrooms, a unique development of the company. The puree is placed in a production form and literally a new thing is grown: the mushrooms absorb the waste, grow, die and provide a strong structure for use.

The Kalliopiirros floor lamp was created especially for the gallery in collaboration with industrial designer Daria Tokareva, a graduate of the Stieglitz Academy and chief designer of the SPAUN company, as well as Anastasia Moiseeva, a student designer from the Stroganov Russian State Pedagogical
Literal translation — «Petroglyphs». The designers took as a basis the rock paintings of the ancient Karelians. Inspired by the piety that the ancient inhabitants felt for their resources and how carefully they transferred them to stone, weaving them into mythical scenarios and divine themes.
The modern recreated floor lamp is intended to remind us of this — both by transferring the symbols of our ancestors and by the uniqueness of the production technology.
