Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly integrated into our daily lives. Algorithms that allow us to process large amounts of data quickly have transformed the quality of our lives through digital assistants. Now, you can hardly be surprised by chatbots in banking applications, mobile communication services, and other industries.
Modern technologies allow us to create images and photos with incredible detail and realism. However, there are some key features that can help you differentiate between the original image and one created by artificial intelligence (AI). For example, analysis of facial asymmetry and chiaroscuro (the contrast between light and dark areas), as well as background details, can be used to identify the difference. However, as technology develops, this distinction is becoming less obvious.
As part of my project, I captured portraits of 49 individuals. One of these portraits was generated by AI, and the viewer has the opportunity to decide which image is original and which is artificial.
