A tabletop game based on Dan Simmons' novel of the same name, in a «one versus all» format.

Paul Dure arrived on the planet Hyperion to study the customs of life and religion of the Bikura tribe. The tribe, in turn, wishes to preserve the secret of their people. They must capture the priest and place a magical cross around his neck, which will prevent him from escaping with the confidential information.

The players are divided into two teams: Paul Dure versus Bikur’s savage team.
Before starting, the square cards are shuffled and placed randomly on the field. The houses are set up as shown in the diagram—these are the starting points.
Dure goes first and begins collecting the cards scattered on the floor.
Behind every card placed on the field may lie either an artifact that grants a point or a trap that skips a turn.
Bikura must catch up to Polya, land on the same space, and collect the score cards he has accumulated; after this, they are sent to the discard pile. Only one card can be taken at a time.
When the opponent is left empty-handed, Bikura must place the magic cross around their neck.
To win, Polu must collect 10 score cards and move to the Fire Forest spaces. Bikura must take all of Dure’s equipment and place the magic cross on him to win.
Whoever completes their objective first wins!
