Cyberpanels
The work is part of the exhibition of media art "The digital footprint" in the forum-festal "Territory of the Future". Moscow 2030 . The exhibition brings together artists to understand the urban environment as an intangible archive of human presence — a repository of cultures and routes, meetings and memories, human perception and digital technologies. «Kiberpanelka» can be seen on the CD’s Media Facade, a major screen in the center of Moscow, from 1 to 14 September 2025.
«Cyberpanelka» refers to a panel image, a symbol of the everyday urban environment that has become recognized as a marker of urban fabric. About half of all housing in Russian cities is a model Soviet-time multi-family home. In the design, the panel becomes the city’s digital archetype, and its windows become memory pixels, where each cell keeps another’s history. Glitches leave marks on the body of the house, as if the city’s architecture itself was gradually disappearing into a digital layer. Every malfunction is a reminder not only that human life is hidden behind the bright light of the window, but also that in the digital age, the memory of it is distorted, fragmented. The panel allows the audience to enter a familiar, home-grown landscape and predicts its cyberpank future.
