LABELUM is an accidental decorative typeface. In botany, this term refers to the characteristic petal of an orchid. The typeface attempts to replicate the form of the flower’s main elements, blending strictness, decorative quality, and organic plasticity.
Orchid—it is a rather contradictory image: it can appear delicate and graceful, yet its structure is very complex, unusual, and even slightly predatory. The typeface reflects precisely this combination—the softness of its external lines and the expressiveness of its internal structure.
