Tournaments
Графический дневник о котах Петербурга и архитектурных орнаментах.
Concept: «Murnaments» — a series of decorative illustrations inspired by the everyday lives of St. Petersburg cats and the gilded splendor of historical architecture.
Project History:
The idea originated during a trip to Saint Petersburg. Encountering cats in the courtyard of the Winter Palace and being introduced to its decorative design inspired me to synthesize these experiences.
Graphic Language:
The foundation of the illustrations consists of quick sketches of urban cats and architectural ornaments. The smooth lines of the feline silhouettes transition into decorative swirls, forming unified compositions.
Final Project:
The final outcome was a zine titled «Murnaments"—a series of original illustrations where cat silhouettes are almost interwoven with decorative ornaments.
Each composition interprets the plasticity of feline movement in its own way, and the golden color palette unites the drawings into a single visual narrative inspired by the atmosphere of St. Petersburg.
