«The Tunnel» is a graphic series dedicated to the architecture of the Alabyano-Baltiysky Tunnel in Moscow. Upon encountering it for the first time, I spent a long time examining the rhythm of the beams and structures, inspired by the rigorous light and shadow geometry. The vibrations from the cars passing underneath created a tension, making the pure concrete surfaces bathed in sunlight seem more mysterious and austere. I could imagine myself as a resident of a harsh industrial city.
I decided to bring this fantasy to life in a series of works where a familiar location takes on a sharper, more intense character, gradually shifting toward an almost futuristic form.

The baguette-style frames support the industrial character of the series and create a sense of a framing grid, where each sheet is perceived as a separate frame, and the intervals between them become part of the composition.
