This project explores the coziness and warmth found in old Russian towns. Each place holds something that touches the soul—evoking a feeling of warm nostalgia, reminding us of our roots and traditions. The feeling of belonging, of being «at home, ” often strikes us not in the central square or near the main cathedral. Sometimes, a gentle ache washes over us while strolling through quiet alleyways or admiring the intricate carving on window frames. Because of this, the subjects of my work have been not only famous landmarks but also ordinary old houses and courtyards. I wanted the viewer, upon seeing this series, to feel warmth and tranquility. I also wanted them to step off the beaten tourist paths and explore the mysterious backstreets of the Golden Ring cities.
