The eyes in this series are an attempt to capture not just the object of observation, but the observer themselves. In my work, I use ink, primarily working wet within a defined rectangular area: allowing the pigment to bleed, form random spots, and unexpected silhouettes, and then adding fine lines, details, and accents while dry.
