«Melnitsa» is one of Russia’s most famous folk-rock bands, founded in Moscow in 1999 by the harpist and linguist Natalia O’Shea (Khelavisa). Their music blends Celtic, Scandinavian, and Slavic motifs with a rock sound, and the lyrics are built around mythology, ballads, and folktales.
