FOUR STATES
The four parts are based on sleep stages N1, N2, N3, and REM. Geometry is an original interpretation, not a literal model of brain function.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES

THE FRAME IS BASED ON THE «STANDING THREAD» PRINCIPLE→ The project’s foundation is based on Vyacheslav Koleichuk’s principle: a slender element becomes a load-bearing part of the structure through a system of rhythmically placed counterweights. → The tower’s frame consists of a base, a thread, and arches connected to it. → Volumes are placed on the arches or between an arch and the thread; the open system keeps the fastenings and connections visible. → The stability of the pre-stressed spatial system must be tested on a physical model, accounting for mass, connections, and loads.
ASSEMBLY: FROM SCHEMATIC TO MOCKUP
01. Scheme → Determine the four stages, forms, and transitions between parts. 02. Framework → Assemble the base, thread, and arches; check stability without mass. 03. Volumes → Fabricate polyhedrons, cubes, spheres, and amorphous bodies. 04. Installation → Secure the forms and adjust the fastenings after checking equilibrium. 05. Composition → Adjust the spacing, rotations, and transitions while maintaining the tower’s unity. 06. Final Review → Assess the stability, legibility of the four parts, lightness, and integrity from various perspectives.
